The Calvary Junior and Beginner Quizzers ended the 2019 season with Indiana State Finals in Terre Haute last Friday and Saturday. The CT Beginner Teams were comprised of Sawyer Faulkner, Eli Kramer, Conor Williamson, MaKenli McFarland, Lincoln Titus and Landon Grover. Sawyer, Eli and Conor represented Calvary at State Finals and we are proud of their achievements. They were coached by quiz dads Brandon Faulkner and Adam Kramer. The CT Junior Team was comprised of Gracie Serrano, Ava Faulkner, Elizabeth Watkis and Robbie Rodenbush. Ava, Elizabeth and Robbie finished the year and represented Calvary at State Finals coached by quizzing alum Morgan Bass. The quizzing theme this year was "Anchored in Truth" and the verses were to highlight our Oneness Apostolic Doctrine. Both Robbie and Elizabeth were honored for memorizing ALL of the 281 required verses for this year, and they both made the State Finals All Tournament Team. In addition, Robbie was also voted by the coaches from all the different teams as Runner-up Quizzer of the Year, a very high honor that represents leadership, attitude, and quizzing performance. Congratulations to our 2019 Senior Bible Quizzers for their outstanding finish at Indiana State Finals. The material this year was titled - UNSHAKABLE. The scriptures, taken from throughout the entire Bible, represented the core of our Apostolic Doctrine. The Intermediate quizzers memorized 427 verses and the Senior quizzers memorized 540 verses. Our Intermediate Division quizzers Landry and Clay Houk took second place, and both quizzers made the All Tournament Team (highest scorers for the day). In addition, Landry was named Indiana State Intermediate Quizzer of the Year and Clay was voted runner-up. Eileena Woolbright and Ben Houk were the Indiana’s Intermediate Coaches of the Year. Our Senior Division quizzers Michael Bales, Ronnie Pickering, and Micki Rodenbush were the undefeated INDIANA STATE CHAMPIONS. Each of our three Senior Quizzers made the All Tournament Team, demonstrating real strength in teamwork. Team Captain Michael Bales was voted Runner-Up Quizzer of the year and Pastor Marty Bales was Indiana’s Senior Coach of the year. Both teams qualified to represent Calvary Tabernacle, Greenwood Grace Apostolic, and the Indiana District at Senior Nationals in July. This is an incredible accomplishment as only the top TWO teams from each division may attend. Thanks to everyone for their kindness to our quizzers, to the coaches, parents, and families who volunteer in many different areas to help make this important ministry possible.

Indiana District Senior Bible Quizzing State Finals is today hosted by Pastor and Sis. Barley at First Church in Hobart, Indiana. Calvary is represented by Intermediate Division quizzers Clay Houk and Landry Houk. The Senior Division team is a combined team with quizzers from Calvary and Grace Apostolic Greenwood - Michael Bales, Ronnie Pickering and Micki Rodenbush.

The Calvary Tabernacle Junior Bible Quiz Teams were in South Bend today for a tournament. The Beginner Team was comprised of Eli Kramer, Conor WIlliamson and Sawyer Faulkner. Special Congratulations to ELI who was the highest scoring individual today in the beginner division making the All Tournament Team. Thanks to coaches Brandon Faulkner and Adam Kramer. The Junior Team was comprised of Robbie Rodenbush and Ava Faulkner, teammate Elizabeth Watkis was out today, however they managed to hold on and place 4th. Congratulations to Robbie who made the All Tournament Team. Thanks to coach Morgan Bass.

Calvary Tabernacle will be having both AM and PM services on Sunday, January 20th for those who are able to make it in. Bro. One of the great blessing of Bible college ministry is watching students move into the next stage of life. We love seeing couples who've met at IBC work together in ministry and build their families. Their joys become our joys and their sorrows our sorrows. IBC alums, Chris Arias and wife Megan Mae Arias are asking for prayers for their unborn baby boy. He has been diagnosed with a rare medical condition and they will be entering a season of testing, procedures, and great uncertainty. They and their families will need the peace, strength and comfort of the Creator. We know the one who trades beauty for ashes and joy for pain, but right now Chris and Megan need our encouragement and support. Please keep this couple and their son in your continued prayers. They have been serving the Mankato United Pentecostal Church in Mankato, MN under the leadership of Pastor Jeremy and Christiana Cox who are also IBC alumni. In His Service, The Rodenbushes
